Overview of M&A market in LatAm Q3 2025
Latin America’s M&A market recorded 2,118 transactions in the first nine months of 2025, with an aggregate value of US $78.1 billion, according to TTR Data in collaboration with Datasite and Aon.
This represents a 4% decline in deal volume compared to the same period in 2024, alongside a 24% increase in total value—highlighting a market increasingly driven by fewer but larger and more strategic transactions.

M&A Tech LatAm overview – Sept ’25
September 2025 recorded 25 tech M&A transactions in Latin America—up from August (19) and marking the strongest month since February’s peak (27). The increase signals renewed dealmaking momentum entering Q4, driven by ongoing regional consolidation and foreign strategic buyers returning to the market.
Trend insight:. With 191 tech M&A deals recorded since January 2025, activity remains resilient amid macro uncertainty, reflecting sustained appetite for strategic acquisitions across the region.

Trends by country
Brazil remained the clear leader in September 2025, accounting for nearly 70% of all tech M&A transactions in Latin America—its highest share since February. Argentina and Colombia followed with 8% each, while Mexico and Chile trailed at 7% and 3%, respectively.
Trend insight: Brazil continues to dominate the regional landscape, while activity outside the country remains fragmented. The rebound in Argentina and Colombia highlights growing deal flow beyond Brazil, though overall concentration in the region’s largest market persists.

Trends by vertical industry
SaaS led tech M&A activity in September 2025, accounting for 44% of all transactions, followed by Fintech (18%). IT Services represented 9%, while Proptech and Healthtech each captured 6%.
Trend insight: The dominance of SaaS highlights growing demand for scalable, subscription-based platforms across the region. Fintech remains a strong driver of deal flow, while steady activity in IT, property, and healthcare tech points to a more diversified M&A landscape in Q4.
